The Buildings of Workington

There are many fine buildings in Workington, mainly in an area that has escaped any redevelopment, such as the town centre, which is now devoid of any architectural merit. The first view shows the Theatre Royal.
Many of the buildings are brightly painted, which is so typical of West Cumbria and reminds one of similar style structures in Ireland.
Ship Inn.
A contrast in colours.

Unusual shaped building. Shame about that intrusive traffic sign though.

Workington Bus Station.
Finally, it's time for liquid refreshment at The Henry Bessemer.
